Bansko is situated 925 meters above sea level, and its skiing area is 2000-2500 m above sea level. Surrounded by Pirin, Rila and Rhodope mountains, Bansko is a nice mountain resort with short summer and long winter. Ski season starts in mid-December and ends in mid-April.
